Welcome to You're Darn Tootin'!

The You're Darn Tootin' tent of the Sons of Desert was founded in Mobile, Alabama to share members' appreciation with the comedy genius of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The tent's meetings are held every other month at the Playhouse-in-the-Park in Mobile's Langan Park. This theatre is a terrific venue to hold our meetings as it is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and big screen projection systems. If you have never watched a Laurel and Hardy classic in a theater, come join us and enjoy the boys on the big screen while you relax in comfortable theater seating.

Our next meeting will be at 2:30 on Sunday, February 12. In the first half of our Valentine show, Charley Chase fears that his bride-to-be may be a real stiff in His Wooden Wedding (1925). Then Jackie Cooper and Norman "Chubby" Chaney vie for the affections of their teacher, the lovely Miss Crabtree, in the Our Gang comedy Love Business (1931). After a break, we'll imagine we're in the Alps, drinking hot cocoa with The Boys in Swiss Miss (1938).

Playhouse-In-The-Park located directly across from the Mobile Museum of Art in Mobile's Langan Park for a knee-slapping good time.  Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
